Let’s Cook! Virtual Classes

Since 2012 Elijah’s Promise has offered “Let’s Cook!” workshops on diet and health; including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and others, as well as sessions on how to prepare healthy meals using food stamps, cooking demonstrations, and tastings. This program educates the greater New Brunswick Community in how to cook a healthy meal for themselves and their families on a budget. Historically, our “Let’s Cook!” program is a multi-class instructional cooking series offered multiple times throughout the year. Since launching the program almost 10 years ago, we have run “Let’s Cook!” at our culinary training kitchen, fitness and wellness centers, in partnership with local schools, in our community garden, and with community partners.

While COVID-19 has forced the cancelation of the 2020 in-person “Let’s Cook!” programming, we have taken the opportunity to offer our first-ever online Let’s Cook! series of bilingual videos so everyone can learn to better navigate their kitchens. We have created these videos so that participants can follow at their own pace. We are working hard to bring our in-person classes back online in 2021, and in the meantime, we hope you enjoy our virtual “Let’s Cook!” classes!
