Certificate Program in Culinary Arts (evening*)
This 17-week class provides comprehensive training in fundamental culinary skills, including knife techniques, cooking methods, meat fabrication, and food safety. It adheres to industry standards ensuring students are well-prepared for professional kitchens. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, where students master essential practices like menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. Graduates are equipped with the skills needed for entry-level positions or further specialization within the culinary field.
COSTS – $6,500.00* / Partial Scholarships and funding available for approved students
Certificate Program in Baking & Pastry Arts (evening*)
This 17-week class focuses on fundamental techniques such as yeast breads, basic baking, cake baking and decorating, plated desserts and confectionery. It follows industry standards to ensure students are skilled in areas like ingredient functions, precision in measurements, and food safety. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on experience, allowing students to create a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts while mastering artistic presentation. Graduates are prepared for careers in bakeries, pastry shops, and other advanced positions in the culinary industry.

Advanced Cake Decorating
Classes are held on Sundays 1:00-5:00 p.m. and Monday & Tuesday evenings from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Promise Culinary School, in partnership with Chef Garima Bansil, award-winning cake decorator and owner of Tiers of Joy, NJ, is offering a 3-part Advanced Cake Decorating Series.
Designed to elevate your cake decorating skills to the next level, each course may be taken individually. However, we recommend completing all three to build a well-rounded skill set for creating polished, professional-quality cakes.

ServSafe Managers Certification
The ServSafe Manager Certification, administered by the National Restaurant Association, ensures that food service managers meet food safety standards set by the FDA Food Code. It covers critical topics like foodborne illnesses, safe food handling and hygiene. Head chefs and shift managers are often required by law to have this certification on file. Having this certification boosts credibility, helps with career advancement, and reduces the risk of food safety issues. For those in culinary education, it demonstrates a commitment to industry standards.
Our ServSafe class is a 6-hour review class, followed by the actual exam that is administered by an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and NRA (National Restaurant Association) proctor. This program is offered several times throughout the year and is offered in Spanish and English. Please view our website’s event calendar to find out when this program is offered and how to pay.
COSTS – $200.00 for outside individuals / $100.00 for re-certifying graduates
